Dan Townsend is a retired biologist living along the Sheepscot River in the rural Midcoast Maine town of Whitefield, where he pursues a variety of musical interests, whether performing, playing in open mics and jams, or leading community singing circles. He plays guitar, drums & percussion, and fiddle, and has been a member of multiple local bands over the past 25 years in Pennsylvania and Maine. In addition to The Bristol Boys, he is currently a member of The Rusty Hinges, another MIdcoast Maine band. While not currently a resident of Bristol, Maine, he has a lifelong association with that beautiful coastal town, one that his bandmates agree confers honorary status as a \u201cBristol boy.\u201d He is most grateful for their indulgence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
