The Bristol Boys

This is the web site of The Bristol Boys, a newly-formed band (2025) from Bristol, Maine. We aspire to provide some pretty good picking and nice vocal harmonies. We play bluegrass, folk, and country — including some original songs.

We all have roots in Bristol, ME. Two of us reside in Bristol and a third splits his time between homes in Bristol and Virginia. Our fourth member lives along the Sheepscott River, but spent many summers at his family’s camp near the Rachel Carson Preserve in Bristol.

Each of us enjoys singing and playing stringed instruments. Between us we play guitars, mandolin, bass guitar, banjo, fiddle, dobro, lap steel and pedal steel guitar, and drums. We share a love of songs written by the likes of Bob Dylan, John Prine, Jimmy Buffett, Gordon Lightfoot, Dan Fogelberg, Guy Clark, Nancy Griffith, and a host of other North American songwriters. And one of us (Tom) has written a number of original songs, some of them about life here in Maine.
