The Bristol Boys will play as part of Union’s Founder’s Day festivities, on the Union Common this Friday evening, July 17th, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. We’ll be playing in the gazebo on Union’s beautiful green Common in the town center.

The Union Common is bounded by Burkett Road on the north and Common Road on the south. Town House Road/Depot Street runs north/south through the middle of the Commons.

The Bristol Boys – Michael Alston, John Scofield, Dan Townsend, and Tom Welch – offer a rich Americana repertoire of folk, blues, bluegrass, soft rock and country, played mainly on acoustic instruments, with some great harmonies and pretty good picking. We cover tunes by the likes of Jimmy Buffett, Guy Clark, Bob Dylan, The Eagles, Gram Parsons, John Hiatt, John Prine, and Van Morrison, among others. We are especially proud to play original songs penned by our own Tom Welch, many of which focus on the beauty and richness of Maine’s rivers, Northwoods and maritime tradition.
There will be a pie social that coincides with our concert, so you can get some great desert as well! Hope you can come out to enjoy the music.

The Bristol Boys Band will perform this Thursday, July 9, 6 – 8 PM, at the Contented Sole in New Harbor, ME. This is the first performance this summer with Michael joining us on pedal steel guitar.

Weather permitting the band will set up outside on the patio. If not, they will setup in the bar adjacent to the dining room.

Apparently, due to the heat, the Shuck Station is remaining closed today. Unfortunately that means the Bristol Boys will not be performing today at the Shuck Station, as planned.
